Charlie’s Story
Did you know that genetic disorders are one of the leading causes of infant mortality? That’s why a large proportion of patients in the BC Women’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) rely on The Provincial Medical Genetics Program (PMGP), a provincial centre of excellence that provides exceptional genomics-informed care.
For Charlie, The Provincial Medical Genetics Program was the catalyst for diagnosing her genetic condition and providing her and her family with a plan to treat her condition.
