MARTIN FISHER
As the founder of Pink Buffalo Films and True Calling Media, Martin has built an impressive career spanning 20 years in the film and media industry. He has produced and executive-produced numerous feature films, documentaries, and more than 180 episodes of the acclaimed documentary series “True Calling”. The series celebrates compelling stories of extraordinary individuals who are deeply passionate about what they do. Over the years - along with his talented team of producers, directors, writers and cinematographers - he’s had a successful career pushing the boundaries of creativity - overseeing productions across the globe, sleeping in Arctic igloos, and filming deep underground.
Under Martin’s leadership, Pink Buffalo Films has flourished in both the scripted and unscripted realms of film and television. With a diverse portfolio of clients and international partnerships, as well as an exciting slate of current productions, Pink Buffalo Films is poised for continued success and groundbreaking ventures in the world of storytelling.
SHAWN ANGELSKI
Shawn Angelski is a Producer and Executive Producer of commercial content and Indie films that span 2 Decades. Shawn is best known for his 2011 Indie hit ‘Grave Encounters’, a found footage horror film, which premiered at the 2011 Tribeca Film festival and went to open in theatres worldwide with Robert Deniro’s Tribeca Film licensing for distribution in the US. The trailer for ‘Grave Encounters’ garnered over 35 million views online in the first year. Shawn also produced ‘Grave Encounters 2’, and ‘Extraterrestrial’ with award winning Director Colin Minihan (IFC). Shawn Co-Produced the highly acclaimed feature film ‘Rememory’, starring Peter Dinklage, Directed by Mark Palansky, which premiered at the Sundance Film festival (Lionsgate/Google).
Shawn produced seasons 2 & 3 of the acclaimed Horror anthology series ‘Two Sentence Horror Stories’ for Stage 13, The CW Network and Netflix. Executive Producer on feature film Rock Springs with Macro Media and Mandalay Pictures which is currently in post-production.
MATTHEW O'CONNOR
Throughout his career, Matthew has played a pivotal role in the production of over 57 projects, showcasing his expertise in bringing compelling stories to life. His work includes a diverse range of productions, from gripping television series to epic feature films. Notably, he has been associated with iconic projects such as ‘The Lord of the Rings: Power of the Rings’, ‘Monkey Beach’, and ‘Snowpiercer’, each contributing to his reputation as a key player in the entertainment industry.
With an unwavering commitment to excellence, Matthew has garnered widespread recognition for his contributions. His achievements include winning three prestigious awards, a testament to his dedication and creative prowess. Additionally he has been nominated an impressive 14 times, further solidifying his status as a respected and influential figure in the world of entertainment.
Matthew is known for his ability to navigate the complex and dynamic landscape of film and television production. His roles as both executive producer and producer reflect his multifaceted skill set, demonstrating proficiency in ensuring the success of his projects in the competitive industry. Throughout his career Matthew has demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for fundraising, consistently securing substantial financial support projects he’s been a part of.
CAROLYN IRWIN
Producer and Director at Pink Buffalo Films and True Calling Media, Carolyn creates powerful documentary pieces profiling individual human stories. She delights in uncovering the authentic details that make every person unique and captivating. From concept to completion she oversees a variety of productions, from documentary to scripted narratives, always ensuring honest storytelling. With an aptitude for open communication, genuine connections are established with each person she engages with to ensure every project will have her utmost dedication to its execution. Carolyn has a passionate love for people, genuine human connections and storytelling.
Carolyn prides herself on being the first female director of Vogue’s 73 Questions series, with her episode featuring Cole Sprouse garnering over 4 million views on YouTube. Carolyn’s documentary focus centres around diversity and inclusion, having produced and directed a series around accessibility in the workplace, inspiring employers to expand their hiring practices to be more accessible to people with disabilities. Additionally, Carolyn has also produced and directed several documentary pieces working alongside local Indigenous groups, including a tourism piece around Spirit Bears in Gitga’at territory for Destination BC and Matador network, and the Tseshaht and Hupacasath bands, which were featured in a series for Google.
